LSG welcomes Randall E. Teague, P.E.
LS Gallegos welcomes Randall E. Teague, P.E., as a new member of its leadership team as a Senior Engineering Consultant. Mr. Teague will provide project management and engineering management services to LSG state, city and county government clients. Teague is a Colorado Professional Engineer and brings to the firm more than 30 years of civil engineering experience and leadership roles in the public sector. Most recently he completed 23 years of service to Douglas County holding key positions as Director of Public Works Operations; Capital Improvement Projects Manager; and Road and Bridge Manager. Mr. Teague is actively involved in several professional associations and served as a Director for the Colorado Chapter of the American Public Works Association and is a past president of the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

WTS Annual Conference
The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) held this year’s “Elevating Transportation to New Heights” networking event in Denver, Colorado, May 9 -11, 2012. This conference was attended by over 500 corporate and government industry leaders who are invested in advancing all modes of transportation.

2012 Airport Cities World Conference
Larry Gallegos attended the 2012 Airport Cities World Conference, Hosted by Denver International Airport (DIA) on April 26 and 27 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center, Downtown Denver. The conference was attended by 800 plus registrants representing 45 countries. It included workshop presentations and panel discussions by Industry Experts representing airport operations, private airlines, land use planners and commercial property developers around major airports. The concept of “Aerotroplolis Development” was a primary topic of the conference. Next year’s conference will be held in Ekurhuleni, South Africa.
CMAA Owner’s Night 2012
LS Gallegos was a sponsor for the 2012 Owner’s Night conducted by the Colorado Chapter of Construction Management Association of America. Larry Gallegos, Owner’s Night Chairman shared the podium with Chapter President, Mike Lopez as masters of ceremonies for the event. LS Gallegos worked closely with other CMAA Board Members to plan this highly successful event which included presentations by twelve government agencies (owners) about upcoming capital projects totaling more than $10 Billion.

March Events:
Matthew M. McDole is the recipient of the 2012 Francis C. Turner Award.
Matt was selected by the Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI), to be the recipient of the 2012 Francis C. Turner Award “for his contribution to the advancement of the knowledge and practice of transportation engineering.” The selection committee noted his extensive experience and dedication to the transportation industry, specifically in U.S. public transit. Matt will be accepting this award at the T&DI Leadership Workshop March 10th 2012 in San Diego, CA.

AIIM Conference for Information Management
Melanie Urso attended the Annual International Conference in San Francisco for AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management) where Information professionals representing 26 countries discussed information management in an ever-changing social, local and mobile era.
While at the conference, Melanie completed the SharePoint Practitioners Certification Program.

Supporting Hispanic Contractors of Colorado
LS Gallegos will be hosting a table at the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado Annual Awards Dinner on March 3, 2012. This is a premier Colorado event of which LSG has proudly supported for the past 10 years. Congratulation goes to the 2012 award winners, including Mayor Michael B. Hancock who will be receiving the Community Advocate Award as well as Lt. Governor Joseph A Garcia, receiving the Public Achievement Award. 1st Quarter 2012 Awarded Contracts
Denver International Airport (DIA), South Terminal Redevelopment Project (STRP).
LS Gallegos is part of a team selected to provide Construction Management Support Services on the Denver International Airport South Terminal Redevelopment Project (STRP). The $500 million STRP is scheduled for completion in 2016.
Colorado Bridge Enterprise (CBE) Independent Cost Estimating (ICE) Services
LS Gallegos was awarded a Colorado Department of Transportation/Colorado Bridge Enterprise contract to provide Independent Cost Estimating Services. Key team members include Matthew McDole, P.E. as Project Principal and Kevin Hartmann, PMP, CCM, as Project Manager.
Chicago DOT Utilities Coordination Project
LS Gallegos as a sub consultant to Collins Engineers, Inc is providing Geographic Information System (GIS) implementation advisory services for the coordination of utilities work in Chicago streets. The goal of this project is to use GIS tools to coordinate work of various private and public utilities with scheduled CDOT street projects so that construction within individual roadway segments occurs only once during a 5 to 7 year period, thus reducing costly street rework and prolonged traffic disruptions in the various Chicago Wards.
CDOT Region 2 and 5 CM Non Project Specific (NPS) Service Contracts
LS Gallegos as a sub consultant to Parsons Brinkerhoff is providing inspection support services to CDOT Region 2 under a Non Project Specific Construction Management, Inspection, and Material Testing Services Contract. Additionally, LS Gallegos as a sub consultant to YEH & Associates is providing scheduling and inspection support under a similar CDOT Region 5 NPS Services Contract.
National Park Service (NPS), Denver Services Center Transportation Division, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Transportation Technical Support Services
LSG produced a winning proposal as prime consultant to the National Park Service (NPS) for a 2-year Nation Wide, BPA to provide Transportation Technical Support Services. The BPA was awarded to LSG under its GSA MOBIS Schedule Contract GS-10F-0343P.
Town of Castle Rock Independent Cost Estimating (ICE)
LS Gallegos was selected as the Prime Consultant to provide Independent Cost Estimating Services to the Town of Castle Rock for its North Meadows Extension to US 85 and I-25 project.
