General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Services Office, Denver Federal Center, Lakewood, CO, Border Stations Program, Procurement Support Services Contract

LS Gallegos under its GSA MOBIS Schedule Contract is providing Senior Contract Specialist support to the GSA Contracting Officer responsible for administering Professional Engineering Consultants and Construction Contracts related to the design and construction of several hundred port-of-entry stations along the United States northern border separating the United States and Canada. The Border Stations Program is being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Most contracts are being issued and awarded as Design/Build type contracts.

LS Gallegos’ on-site team serves as extension of staff, and is responsible for:

  • Contract formulation
  • Bid advertising and assisting with bid evaluations
  • Contact awards

After award, our team is responsible for monitoring:

  • Design consultant and construction contractor compliance with contract documents
  • Attending owner/consultant/contractor progress meetings
  • Reviewing and approving invoice submittals
  • On-site inspection of field construction
  • Change order administration and final contract close-outs

These activities are performed in coordination with GSA’s Project Management team.
