The
T-REX project is a 22-mile, $1.8 billion interstate highway improvement
and light rail transit design and development project in southeast
metropolitan Denver. Southeast Corridor Constructors (SECC), a
joint venture of Peter Kiewit Company and Parsons Corporation,
is the prime design-build contractor.
LSG was engaged as a support services subcontractor.
We provided a team of IT specialists to support the prime contractor's
IT staff in developing software for the Intelligent Transportation
Systems/Traffic Operations Control Center. Our specialists included
computer programmers, software architects/engineers and software
testers. LSG also provided CADD technicians to support the design
effort. Our IT personnel served in a resource augmentation role
working alongside the prime contractor's on-site IT development
staff. LSG staff worked in multiple project offices in Colorado
and Florida where much of the software development and testing
work was performed.
Notable Achievement:
Despite a highly competitive hiring environment, using its extensive
network and recruiting IT data-base, LSG was able to attract,
recruit and hire the right IT professionals within a two-week
period at the beginning of the project. Even with the need for
extensive travel and required overtime on this project, LSG completed
its work within the pre-planned contract budget.
"Southeast Corridor Constructors (SECC)
has been working with LS Gallegos & Associates for the past
year. LS Gallegos & Associates has provided SECC several software
engineers for the ITS portion of the T-REX Design-Build project.
The quality of the personnel provided has
been excellent. LS Gallegos & Associates has always been responsive
to SECC's needs and has been working with SECC towards the goal
of providing the best resources for the project."
